Engineering faculty Omar Hijab has completed a book titled “Math for Data Science.” The 600-page book, published by Springer Nature, will be available Spring 2025.
“Math for Data Science,” based on the author’s course lectures in the MSDS program, covers linear algebra, probability, statistical tests, and calculus, applying these topics to two problems in data science: principal component analysis (PCA) and neural network training.
